Kim Jong-un in Russia for expected meeting with Vladimir Putin

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia today to meet President Vladimir Putin.

It’s a rare meeting between the isolated leaders, driven together by their need for support in their respective standoffs with the west. Kim is expected to seek economic aid and military technology while Putin appears to need munitions for Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The meeting fueling concerns in the west that the North Korean leader may provide military support for Russia even after it was warned about new sanctions from the U.S.
