Woman sent to hospital after being hit by vehicle in St. Catharines
A collision between a woman and a vehicle in the City of St. Catharines Thursday morning has sent the woman to hospital with serious injuries.
Niagara regional police told CHCH News they responded to the area of Lake Street and Dunlop Drive at around 6:40 a.m. following a report of a motor vehicle having hit a pedestrian.
Emergency services say they attended the scene and provided treatment to the woman pedestrian before transporting her to hospital for serious injuries.
Niagara police told CHCH News the woman had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the cause and circumstance for the collision is under investigation. They also say the vehicle involved remained on the scene.
Officers had closed portions of the roadway leading into the area while they investigated, but they said they will reopen later in the morning.
