Niagara police say a motorcycle rider is in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a crash in Niagara Falls.

On Sunday, officers responded to the collision between a motorcycle and an SUV in the area of Thorold Stone Road, between Sinnicks and Stanley avenues.

Investigators say the SUV failed to yield the right of way and turned into the path of the motorcycle.

Police say the accident took place at around 3:15 p.m. and roads reopened around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
