Hamilton police have arrested a man accused of pointing a BB gun at random people at a Stoney Creek plaza on Friday.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Gray Road and Highway 8.

Officers allege the man was pointing a BB gun at people passing by, but no shots were fired.

Police found the man at the Fiesta Mall nearby and arrested him. They also seized the BB gun.

Investigators say charges will be laid once statements and video surveillance are collected.
