Niagara police investigate blated child sexual assault near McLeod, Kalar roads

Niagara police began an investigation Tuesday into a belated stranger sexual assault involving a child under 16-years-old in Niagara Falls.

Officers say the assault allegedly took place at a daycare in the area of McLeod and Kalar roads in Niagara Falls.

Investigators are looking into the exact time and date of the assault, but believe the incident occurred within the past two weeks.

The Child Abuse Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
