Niagara police arrest Thorold man in $500K drug bust

Police have seized over $500,000 worth of illicit substances and charged a 37-year-old Thorold man following a drug trafficking investigation.

On April 16, officers executed a search warrant at a Lundy’s Lane address in Thorold.

As a result, Matt Gendron was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distributing
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (opioid oxycodone)
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

Investigators located and seized the following items:

  • 4 kilograms of suspected cocaine (value $80,000)
  • 751.9 grams of suspected MDMA (value $9,000)
  • 470 tablets of suspected oxycontin (value $4,700)
  • 4.6 kilograms of suspected psilocybin (value $46,180)
  • 61 kilograms of suspected dry cannabis (value $250,000)
  • 6.3 kilograms of suspected hard/brick hashish (value $12,7520)
  • 121 x 1 gram vape pens (value $4,235)
  • 26 grams of suspected shatter individually packaged in 1-gram envelopes (value $520)
  • 314 grams of suspected cannabis oil individually packaged in 1-gram envelopes (value $6,280)
  • 1 kilogram of suspected cannabis distillate (value $20,000)
  • $5,533 of currency
