Motorcyclist dead after collision with pickup truck in Flamborough

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a pickup truck in Flamborough on Friday afternoon.

Hamilton police say they responded around 12:40 p.m. to the crash at the intersection of Concession 5 and Kirkwall roads, near Highway 8.

Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures to the motorcyclist, but they died of their injuries at the scene.

Officers say the driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene.

The intersection is expected to remain closed for the next several hours as police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit investigates the cause of the crash.
