The Clarence Street Bridge in Port Colborne is closed for repairs after it was struck by a vessel on Thursday.

The City of Port Colborne says the bridge that crosses the Welland Canal in downtown Port Colborne is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until further notice.

It is not clear when the bridge is expected to reopen.

The city says there are no reported injuries or environmental impacts at this time.
