Grand Erie Public Health confirms 11 additional measles cases

Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) has confirmed an additional 11 cases of measles in Norfolk County.
There are currently 48 confirmed cases – six adults and 42 children – in the Grand Erie region, which includes Haldimand County, Norfolk County, Brantford, and County of Brant.
One case is recovering in hospital, while the rest are recovering from home.
The infection source is currently unknown.
GEPH investigators are following up with known contacts and have determined that the following locations may have been exposed to the virus:
- LaSalette Old Colony School, 71 La Salette Rd., La Salette – Feb. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Glen Meyer Old Colony School, 1436 1st Concession Rd., Langton – Feb. 5-6 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tim Hortons (A-wing, 1st floor), 200 Terrace Hill St., Brantford – Feb. 10 from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Tim Hortons (A-wing, 1st floor), 200 Terrace Hill St., Brantford – Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Tim Hortons (A-wing, 1st floor), 200 Terrace Hill St., Brantford – Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
