Emergency crews investigate suspicious Flamborough house fire

The Hamilton Fire Department and police are investigating a suspicious fire in Flamborough that occurred early Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews responded shortly before 5 a.m. to a house located at 3906 Governors Rd. that was fully engulfed in flames.
Hamilton Fire Platoon Chief Dave Majpruz said the fire is considered suspicious because the house was vacant at the time.

No injures have been reported.
Fire officials say damages are estimated to be at $800,000.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Governors Road between Field and Lyndon roads were closed as firefighters worked to put out the blaze, but has since reopened.
Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshal has been notified.
