A little girl who was pulled unconscious from her family’s backyard pool on Woodale Drive in St. Catharines June 14th has died.

Moussia Zaltzman, age 6, was in the pool with several children when she was found without vital signs.

She died around 4:30 Saturday morning after being in the intensive care unit at McMaster Children’s Hospital for 12 days.

Moussia’s parents Rabbi Zalman Zaltzman and Perla Zaltzman are well known in Niagara’s Jewish community.  They operate Chabad Niagara, the Jewish welcome centre in Niagara Falls’ tourist district.

Moussia went to school at the Hamilton Hebrew Academy.

Along with her parents, she leaves behind two older brothers and a younger sister.
