City of Hamilton launches ‘Ballot On Demand’ voting

The City of Hamilton is introducing a new way to vote in the upcoming municipal election, with Ballot On Demand beginning on Monday at Lime Ridge Mall.

The city says this program is designed to target a specific voting demographic who might have challenges accessing regular polls. 

The special advance poll is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.

A special advance poll open to eligible voters from all wards will also be available at Hamilton City Hall on Oct. 13-16 and 19-23.

Ballots can also be requested on Tuesday at Redeemer University and on Friday at McMaster University from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Other locations can be found on the City of Hamilton’s website. Advanced polling begins on Oct. 3, with election day on Oct. 26.

Voters can choose any voting location in their ward and do not need their Voter Information Card to vote, only one piece of ID with their name and address on it.
