Driver killed after hitting fire truck

A man is dead after his car slammed into the back of a fire truck already helping with a crash.

It happened on the southbound ramp to Brown’s Line off Highway 427 between 7:30 and 8 pm last night.

Police and fire vehicles were on the ramp dealing with another vehicle that had lost control and hit the wall.

The ramps leading to Brown’s Line were closed until about 2 a.m.

The driver of the first car had only minor injuries.
