Ottawa closely watching U.S. election results

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is among the Canadians watching closely as the results of the U-S presidential election begin to trickle in.  But with millions of votes already cast by mail or absentee ballot, Trudeau cautions it could be a while before a winner is declared. Thousands of Americans living in Canada plan to hold Zoom parties tonight. Trudeau referred specifically to the 2000 presidential election, which was not resolved until December 12th, when the U-S Supreme Court made George W. Bush the winner by ruling that Florida must stop counting votes.
