Hamilton police investigate after girl randomly assaulted on Stoney Creek Mountain

Hamilton police are investigating after an assault on Stoney Creek Mountain Wednesday night where two males allegedly fired a BB gun at a girl in two random attacks.

Officers say at around 7:30 p.m. a girl was walking along the sidewalk of Mud Street near First Road, when she was approached by two males on an E-Scooter.

The males produced a BB gun and fired multiple pellets toward her as they rode past her.

The girl continued walking and encountered the males a second time near a pedestrian tunnel close to Valley Park Recreation Centre, when the males began firing more pellets at her while she tried to run away.

Detectives are working on collecting CCTV footage from homes and businesses in the area, but do not have a description of the suspects at this time.

Officers believe the attack was completely random, and are asking anyone with information to contact police at 905-546-2963.
