Search for Srawn resumes tomorrow

The search for a missing Canadian hiker will resume tomorrow in an Australian national park after bad weather hampered today’s search effort.

Prabhdeep Srawn, 25, originally of Hamilton, disappeared in the mountains over two weeks ago. Initially the search was extensive but police scaled back significantly this week after experts determined the chance of finding him alive would be slim.

Australian officials said Tuesday the search would only continue two more days. But after an appeal by the Canadian government they said it will resume.

Srawn’s family has traveled to Australia to press officials to continue searching.
