No Bay Beach condo

A proposed condo project in Crystal Beach is in jeopardy.

Monday night, Fort Erie politicians voted to revoke the zoning amendment for the project at Bay Beach.

This comes after town council voted to support the project last week.

The controversial project calls for a 12-storey — 87 unit — building with condos, stores and offices.

Critics feel the beach should remain public.

Supporters say it’s an opportunity to revitalize the area.
