Mace used in Hamilton spray attack

(Updated) Hamilton Police say there is no danger to the public, after a 21 year-old Hamilton man was sprayed with mace early this morning.

It happened on Bonaventure Dr, near Upper Paradise and the Linc. Police say three masked men sprayed the victim, then took off in a white Honda or Hyundai.

Officers are calling it a random assault and say the attackers may be in possession of a handgun and baton. A detective at the scene says a car with significant damage parked around the corner belongs to the victim.

Police will be back in the area today to talk to neighbours.

No one is in custody; police are asking anyone with information to call them at 905-546-8900.
