Hamilton Youtuber sentenced to 3 years for sexual assault
A Hamilton YouTuber was sentenced to 3 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a McMaster University student in 2020.
Jack Densmore rose to internet fame with videos of him attempting to pick up women on university campuses, interviewing drunk people at Hess Village, and partying with students.
In 2020 Densmore was on a first date with a McMaster University student when they became intimate. At first, it was consensual, until Densmore pulled out his phone to start recording.
Densmore argued he was recording a consent video, while the woman said he attempted to make a sex video.
Densmore then had forced intercourse with the woman sexually assaulting her – the judge decided.
The judge reiterated today that a sexual assault is a very serious act of violence, one that requires a penitentiary sentence. However, he did take into consideration that this was Densmore’s first offense.
Densmore’s lawyer, Mark Fahmy, said, “Mr. Densmore maintains his innocence. His family maintains his innocence. I maintain his innocence.”
“The notice of appeal has already been filed with the court of appeal and we are waiting for a decision about bail pending appeal,” he adds.
Densmore is facing another charge of sexual assault in an unrelated case, involving a different woman. That trial is pending.
