Hamilton police continue search for man from 2023 shooting

Hamilton police say they are continuing the search for a suspect involved with a 2023 shooting in the City of Hamilton.

Officers released a press release Friday that they have issued an arrest warrant for the shooting in the area of Bradbury Road and Penny Lane on Dec. 1, 2023.

Detectives are looking for 44-year-old Randy Douglas from Hamilton, who has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm and possession of an unauthorized firearm.

Investigators told CHCH News that reasonable and probable grounds were formed utilizing forensic evidence to confirm the ownership of the firearm, though police say they cannot explain exactly when the grounds were made.
