Halton police arrest 6 teens in stolen vehicle investigation

Halton Regional Police Service have arrested six people and laid multiple charges after a stolen vehicle investigation.
On Feb. 7, police were called to a home in Oakville near Dundas Street and Sixth Line after a homeowner noticed a group of people attempting to steal their vehicle’s license plate. After turning on the outdoor lights, the would-be thieves fled.
Later that day, Halton police arrested six teenagers at a Tim Hortons drive-thru on Centennial Parkway in Hamilton after they were found to be driving a stolen Acura SUV. Police say that tools associated with car thefts and break-ins were found within the vehicle.
The teens, ranging from 16-18 years old, all face multiple charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, disguise with intent, possession of break-in instruments, and failure to comply with probation order.
