Hamilton’s Commonwealth Games legacy

We already know that the centennial edition of the Commonwealth Games in 2030 will not be held in Hamilton. However, there is still a chance the city will be recognized for the legacy it created when India hosts the games four years from now.

Louis Frapporti, a Canadian Commonwealth Games delegate, recently returned from the 2026 Games in Glasgow, Scotland. He sat down with Brian to discuss his experience and the conversations he had with officials about commemorating Hamilton’s historic role in the Games movement.

At the same time, Hamilton representatives were in Taiwan promoting the city’s bid to host the 2028 International Children’s Games.
