Brantford police are investigating after reports of a shooting outside a Powell Street residence early Friday morning.

Officers say at around 4:15 a.m., they received a report of multiple shots being fired at the home.

They say while residents were inside at the time of the incident, no one was injured.

Police say they recovered the suspect vehicle, a black sedan, that was used in the incident.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, and does not pose a risk to public safety.

They are asking residents in the area to check if they have any surveillance video or dash-cam footage between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. — specifically footage that may show the suspect video, and to reach out to police.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
