Port Colborne residents will go to the polls to cast their votes for the city’s next mayor and other municipal officials on Oct. 26, 2026.

More information on voting in Port Colborne and key dates can be found on the city’s website.

Port Colborne’s 2026 election will look a little different in terms of wards. In March 2026, Ontario approved changes to the city’s ward boundaries and city council composition. This resulted in the reduction of the size of council and a new ward structure.

Residents of Port Colborne will be voting for their city councillors in three wards instead of four. This has been reflected in the map below.

The deadline to submit or withdraw nominations was Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.

Candidates are listed alphabetically by last name alongside a brief bio. This page will be updated regularly as the race develops, and individual ward candidate lists will follow the same format.

Port Colborne’s mayoral race

  • Michael Bunton joins the race with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Bea Kenny brings 25 years of municipal governance experience to the race as a former city councillor. Kenny also spent 45 years working for the Niagara Health System in both Port Colborne and Fort Erie. Kenny’s platform focuses on healthcare, water/wastewater bill reduction and property tax review.
  • Cameron Klemm
  • Larry Rosnuk says he’s a “facts and numbers” guy, coming to the race with a bachelor of science in engineering from Queen’s University. His platform focuses on healthcare improvements, year-round tourism and community-sensitive development.
  • Bill Steele (incumbent) is seeking re-election for his third consecutive term as Mayor of Port Colborne.
