Brantford crash leaves cyclist in hospital with serious injuries

Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Brantford that left a cyclist in hospital with serious injuries.

On Thursday at around 7 a.m., officers responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist.

Detectives say the driver remained on scene and the cyclist has been transported to an out-of-area hospital with serious injuries.

East and Westbound lanes at Colborne Street West to Shellard’s Lane are closed as the investigation continues.

Officers are asking drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
