Arrest made in Niagara Falls homicide, second suspect still at large

Police have arrested Josta MacNeal in Montreal as officers continue to investigate the homicide of Mitchell Snoddon.

Snoddon was shot and killed on July 16, just before 9 p.m., at his residence on Thorold Stone Road in Niagara Falls.

On Thursday, 30-year-old MacNeal was arrested in Montreal by Service de police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM).

Officers say MacNeal will be returned to Niagara to face the charge of second-degree murder.

Investigators say the other suspect, 23-year-old Maaroof Bangi, remains outstanding.

Canada-wide arrest warrants were issued for both suspects.

Detectives say as no firearm has been recovered in connection with this incident, Bangi is considered armed and dangerous. If Bangi is observed, do not approach and call 911 immediately.

Niagara police are urging Bangi to speak with a lawyer and turn himself in.
