King Street reopened, police continue to investigate shooting incident near Delta Hotel
King Street between Benton and Scott streets has been reopened by Waterloo Regional Police.
Police continue to investigate what is believed to be a shooting on King Street, between Benton and Scott.
There are no injuries.
That stretch of King Street was closed for about seven hours Friday morning while forensic teams scoured the area.
Two windows on the fourth floor of the Delta Hotel were shattered with glass littering the sidewalk.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. this morning.
They believe shots from the street struck the hotel, and that the hotel wasn’t a target.
There are currently no suspects.
The hotel remains open for business, and guests could be seen coming and going Friday morning from the building’s Benton Street entrance.
