ATM blowtorch robberies a family affair: police
UPDATE: Jan 28, 2017
Charges against Rejean and Maxime Lavigne have been dropped. According to Halton Regional Police Inspector Anthony Odoardi the Supreme Court of Canada’s 2016 ruling on excessive delays in bringing cases to trial prompted the Crown to withdraw the charges.
A third suspect, Pierre Poirer, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Brampton court on January 9, 2017 but pled guilty and was given a conditional sentence of six months to be served in Quebec. The fourth suspect, William Nolin of Niagara, died before his case could be tried.
