Boy, 15, killed in daytime North York shooting Monday

Toronto police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in broad daylight Monday afternoon.

It happened in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area of North York just after 3:30 p.m.

Police arrived on the scene after a report of gunshots in the area and located the victim.

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say a skateboard was located at the scene but could not say who it belonged to.

No suspect description has been released.
