A female is fighting for her life after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton’s east end.

Police say the collision happened around 11:54 p.m. Thursday at Britannia Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue North and that she was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The male driver was not injured.

Hamilton police remain on scene as they continue to investigate.

Investigators have not yet released details about how the collision happened or whether any charges are being considered.

The age of the pedestrian is not yet known.
