$5M Niagara chop shop busted

After a 4 month long investigation, police have busted a large scale chop shop in Niagara-on-the-Lake with ties throughout the Golden Horseshoe.





Police searched three addresses on Lincoln Avenue and Niagara Stone Road associated with an auto wrecking yard business operating under the name Auto Enterprises. They seized over $5 million worth of stolen vehicles and parts.

The investigation involved police from Niagara, Toronto, Hamilton, and York as well as the OPP.

Gueorgi Tsigirlash, 42, of Niagara-on-the-Lake has been charged with possession of stolen property and fraud. He’s in custody pending a bail hearing on June 24th. Police say more arrests may be made.
