Changes to Around the Bay race

This year marks the 120th anniversary of the Around the Bay Road Race in Hamilton.

Organizers have made some changes. Last year the race ran across CN Railway tracks, and many runners were stopped by the train. This year the 30k course will run along Burlington St, and participants will instead be running on top of the overpass.

The 5k course has also changed: runners will take York Blvd to the High Level Bridge and will finish at First Ontario Centre (the former Copps Coliseum).

Commemorative medals and new hats will be given to runners to mark the anniversary.
