Niagara police have arrested a male suspect in connection with an online child luring investigation in Niagara Falls.
On Wednesday at around 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of an indecent act in the area of Drummond Road and Morrison Street.
Investigators learned that a third-party group using online decoy tactics had identified someone they believed to be a child predator.
Detectives say the group confronted the man at his home before contacting police to turn over their evidence.

On Thursday, police identified and arrested Geoffrey David Canal, 36, of Niagara Falls for several offences including making sexually explicit material available to a child and luring a child online to facilitate sexual interference.
Canal remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Thursday through a video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
