Niagara police say seven roadside suspensions were issued on Saturday during their Halloween RIDE Initiative.

Police say over 300 vehicles were stopped and 17 drivers were ticketed for various traffic offences.

Officers say one of these drivers was charged with driving while under suspension and two drivers did not have valid insurance.

Police inquired if any of the drivers had consumed any alcohol or drugs earlier in the evening.

Officers say in total, 26 drivers were required to provide a sample of their breath for analysis.

A total of six drivers provided a sample, which resulted in an “Alert” and then a seven-day licence suspension.

While on mobile patrol, police say one driver was pulled over for conducting a stunt, when the vehicle they were driving was captured travelling over 150 km/h.

As a result, the driver received a 30-day roadside suspension and had their vehicle towed and seized for 14 days.
