The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has unveiled Hamilton’s team jersey ahead of its historic debut at TD Coliseum on Dec. 13.

PWHL Hamilton will host the Ottawa Charge in its inaugural home opener.

The hockey league says the home and away jerseys feature ‘HAMILTON’ stitched diagonally across the front, in line with a tradition established across the first eight PWHL teams’ debut seasons.

The team will reveal its full team identity including team names and logos before puck drop, which will be incorporated into on-ice uniforms for the 2027-28 season.

PWHL Hamilton says the gold, deep red, burnt orange and cream colour palette embodies the city’s steel industry while paying homage to the area’s deep sports history.

The organization says the jerseys also call back to the uniforms worn by the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the former OHL Hamilton Bulldogs and NHL Hamilton Tigers.

As part of the PWHL’s opening weekend that features all 12 teams in action, PWHL Hamilton will make its official debut on the road on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. against the reigning Walter Cup champion Montréal Victoire at Place Bell.

Earlier this month, the PWHL released its 2026-27 season schedule, with Hamilton’s team playing 13 home games.

The season will consist of 180 regular season games, with PWHL Hamilton playing in 30 of those.

The PWHL said that the 12-team league will now be split into Eastern and Western conferences, with Hamilton placed in the Eastern conference.

The fourth season’s full schedule can be found online.
