Hamilton man charged in Burlington fatal pedestrian hit-and-run

A Hamilton man has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run collision that took the life of a female pedestrian in late August.

Halton police arrested William McArthur, 61, in Oakville on Tuesday.

McArthur was charged with failure to stop in an accident involving death in the area of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road on Aug. 27 around 3:45 p.m.

He was released from custody pending a court appearance on Nov. 25.
