Brampton man charged after multiple break-ins at Milton hobby shop

Halton police have charged a man from Brampton after a hobby shop in Milton was reportedly broken into four separate times since May.

Officers say Milton Hobbies at 621 Main St. East was broken into on four separate occasions that resulted in property damage and around $14,000 in stolen merchandise.

Investigators say they identified one suspect they believe to be responsible for three of the break-ins.

Detectives executed two search warrants Wednesday at a Brampton home and an associated vehicle, where they arrested a 25-year-old Sahilpreet Dhaliwal.

Police say multiple remote controlled vehicles and accessories were recovered during the search.

Dhaliwal has been charged with three counts of breaking and entering, and for possessing property over $5,000 obtained by crime.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

Officers say the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are anticipated.
