James Street North has reopened between Picton Street East and Macaulay Street West after being closed Thursday afternoon due to a multiple-alarm fire in the area.

Several firefighting units were dispatched to the permanently closed New Horizons Thrift Store at 520 James St. North.

Eyewitnesses say a big fire was seen on James Street North.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire or if anyone has been injured.
