Halton police are investigating after schools across Burlington and Oakville received an anonymous bomb threat Thursday morning.
Officers say at around 6 a.m. schools belonging to both school boards and a private school reported receiving a bomb threat.
Investigators say a generic email was sent to the school boards, listing the following schools as targets of the threat:
Over two hours later, at around 10:47 a.m., officers say they completed thorough searches of the affected schools and found no credible evidence to suggest a threat to the safety of the faculty, students or the public.

Police say all schools have resumed normal operations, but an investigation into the threat remains ongoing.
