Doctor’s sex assault trial begins

The trial of Daniel Marshall, a Hamilton pediatrician who faces multiple charges of sexual assault and sexual interference, begins today.

Marshall has pleaded not guilty to dozens of charges from 22 complainants – 20 of whom were former patients. The incidents are alleged to have happened when the complainants were between six and 15 years old.

The trial is a judge-only proceeding and is expected to take about five weeks.
