Niagara-bound Burlington Skyway faces partial weekend closures

A partial weekend closure on the Niagara-bound lanes of the Burlington Skyway is expected late Friday night to early Monday morning to accommodate temporary barrier relocation.

The Eastport Drive and collector ramp to the Skyway bridge is planned to be closed at 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday as well as from 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

One middle lane (lane three of four) on the Skyway Bridge is set to be closed for the full duration.

Two lanes will remain open for drivers continuing along the mainline QEW.

One lane to the Burlington Skyway will remain accessible through the Eastport Drive collector ramp.

Lane widths will be reduced in the work zone and “Narrow Lane” signage will be in place.

All ramps at the Northshore Boulevard interchange will stay open.

Additionally, Eastport Drive will remain fully open as an alternate route to re-enter the QEW Niagara-bound.
