Delays expected as maintenance work closes lane of Burlington lift bridge

Drivers may experience delays Thursday as a portion of the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge is scheduled to be closed.

Public Services and Procurement Canada says one lane will be closed for maintenance work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

During that time, three lanes will stay open and two flag persons will be redirecting traffic.

The bridge will also remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected.
