Weapons seized in Brant

Several bureaus of law enforcement made guns and weapons related arrests this morning in Brant.

A search warrant was executed at 5:00 Wednesday morning at at Burtch Road residence.

Brant County officers were assisted by the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, and the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.

Officers searched the residence and located two firearms, a crossbow, a stolen Sea-Doo and a large quantity of marihuana.

Two occupants of the residence are facing numerous Criminal Code and Controlled Drug and Substance Act charges.

39 year-old Michael Dykstra and 37-year-old Kimberly Carpenter, both from the County of Brant, are facing the following charges:
