Newly elected MPP Wayne Gates was sworn in today.

Gates won the Niagara Falls by-election earlier this month, making it the first time in 19 years that the riding was held by the NDP.

He beat out PC candidate Bart Maves and Liberal candidate Joyce Morocco. gates replaces former liberal m-p-p kim craitor.
