LATEST STORIES:
Ticats oldest fan

As Hamilton gets ready for Grey Cup Sunday, we wanted to revisit a special Hamilton Tiger-Cats fan who predicted this in September. Sean Leathong has the story.
Back in September, I had a chance to sit down with the Tiger-Cats oldest season ticket holder. Bill Walker is 92-years old and has seen the Cats win many Grey Cups, including when he was 7 and they beat the Roughriders 30-0. So we had to meet up with him again.
This was us back in September. Bill has been a season ticket holder for over fifty years and as we saw last time, he has a mountain of Ticats gear. He was there when the Cats beat the Riders in Hamilton for the Grey Cup. And he was there the last time the Cats won in 1999. He said that the Cats will win this year, and twice more in his life. He has been at all of the games in Guelph this year, including the east semi final when the Cats beat the Alouettes in that horrible weather. Bill was yelling so much that he lost his voice, so he figured it best not to go to Regina and deal with minus 25 conditions. I asked him if it is better to win the Grey Cup or beat the Argos? here’s what he had to say: “There isn’t very much difference, It better to beat the Argos really. It’ll be anti-climactic when we win the Grey Cup. And we will win. We have as much of a chance as anyone. But whether or not, we’ll win.”
He will be watching the game this weekend at his sons place in Waterdown, and he says that his voice is coming back just in time to yell this Sunday.
