Three people are facing charges after Hamilton police seized nearly $210,000 in illegal drugs, weapons and 10 dogs believed to be part of an illegal breeding operation.
Officers launched an investigation last month into 4 Winds Medicine Lodge, a business located at 421 King St. East that is near a church, daycare, school and shelter.
Investigators say they received information alleging the business was illegally selling cannabis and other controlled substances.
On April 16, police executed a search warrant at the business. They found cocaine, methamphetamine, two containers of GHB, over 1,000 prescription pills and a spring-loaded knife, among other things.
They also located two operational labs believed to be used for the production of crack cocaine.

During the search, officers found eight puppies and two adult dogs believed to be part of an illegal breeding operation. Hamilton Animal Services attended and took custody of the animals to ensure their well-being.
Police then arrested a 40-year-old Hamilton man, 24-year-old Hamilton woman, and 46-year-old North York man. They are facing multiple charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, proceeds of crime and production of a schedule I substance.
Anyone with further information that may assist investigators is asked to contact Staff Sgt. Jen Currie at 905-546-3833.
Anonymous tips can be provided through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online.
