Two pedestrians struck by vehicle near King Street East, Gray Road intersection

Hamilton police say two people were struck by a vehicle in the area of King Street East and Gray Road Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities tell CHCH News that both of the young people involved were conscious and breathing following the collision.

Police say the collision happened shortly after 1 p.m.

They add that one sustained a leg injury and paramedics were called to the scene.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with officers.

Police are investigating the details leading up to the collision.
