Summer forecast: hot & dry

If you’re fed up with this dismal spring, so are a lot of other people.

But the word is that all we have to do is get through the next few weeks, and then sit back in the sun and enjoy a hot dry summer. And we could use it. Al Sweeney reports.

And that includes the Almanac’s 1792 secret formula that takes into account sunspots and other factors as well as meteorology. They say that gives them a more accurate forecast than just about anybody else. As for Environment Canada, they don’t usually issue their summer forecast until June. They’re doing it early to help cheer people up.
