Hydro crews continue working to repair damaged power lines across our region and the province.

Environment Canada issued wind warnings for dozens of areas on Sunday, with wind gusts reaching more than 100 km/h some areas.

There was extensive flooding on Port Dover’s Main St., where business owners were seen trying to manage the rising waters and keep the flooding out.

In many places the powerful winds knocked downed trees and branches that pulled down power lines, some of which blocked roads.

Forestry crews in Hamilton say they received dozens of calls for storm-related tree issues.

Hydro One reported more than 238,000 customers in the dark on Monday morning.
