Hamilton Police have confirmed the identity of remains found in the city’s harbour as those of Holly Ellsworth-Clark who had been missing since January 11th. They also say her death “does not appear to be suspicious in nature”.

On Tuesday a worker in the harbour area spotted what looked like a body which investigators say appeared to have been in the water for a prolonged period of time.

Before her disappearance, Holly Ellsworth-Clark left an emotional voice message for her parents in Alberta asking them to buy her a plane ticket home.   Unfortunately, the message wasn’t picked up until after she vanished.

Ellsworth-Clark was 27-years old and had come to Hamilton to pursue a music career.  Her disappearance sparked extensive searches by her parents, friends, and police, all to no avail.

Police say her family has been notified and “today’s news is not the outcome her family and Hamilton Police were hoping to receive”.
